Mrs. Murphy’s neighbors do not like her silly-looking house one bit. In their eyes, it is the only flaw in their otherwise perfect neighborhood, and they are quick to pass judgment on her and her tiny home.

But the neighbors are in for a huge surprise when Mrs. Murphy invites them over for lunch—the inside of her home is not at all what it seemed like from the outside! They are amazed to discover how spacious, bright, and beautiful it is. As they begin to understand the value of diversity and individuality, Mrs. Murphy’s neighbors learn that inner beauty matters much more than external beauty.

Robert Rogalski’s whimsical illustrations bring Emma Perry Roberts’ humorous tale wonderfully to life, providing a visual treat for readers of all ages. Winner of the Coalition of Visionary Resources’ Best Children’s Book Award and Creative Child Magazine’s Preferred Choice Award, Mrs. Murphy’s Marvelous Mansion highlights the folly of stereotyping based on outward appearances.
